our Sanctuary Choir singers, two trumpets, handbells,
piano and organ.

recent economic challenges confronting our country?

meet this real need and to ensure that children and
seniors and families do not go hungry in our local
community, St. Mark's has recently launched a "Canning
Hunger" program (http://canninghunger.org)
and is collaborating with His Helping Hands, which
is the official foodpantry of the Los Angeles Regional
Foodbank, to help end food insecurity in Lomita.

ST. MARK’S CENTENNIAL

The story of Lomita’s first church begins in late July 1907 with Land Developer W. I. Hollingsworth selling lots. M. M. Eshelman, prominent Brethren elder and promotion agent for the Santa Fe Railroad assisted in sales promotion. Among the first to respond were a group of Eshelman’s Midwestern Brethren contacts in Kansas and Missouri. Rev.
